We would say practice makes perfect! Try mounting the chains a few times in dry, warm conditions, then it will work without any problems even in stormy and icy conditions.

Unfortunately, our chains do not yet mount themselves. But we are working on making the mounting/demounting as easy as possible 😉

@@pewaggroup I use the Pewag servo sports 7mm on my Tesla Model 3’s rear tires 235/45R18. I cannot imagine having the 20” rims and almost no sidewall protection. I wish that I could use two sets, but there is almost no clearance wish the aluminum wishbone front suspension.

Es tut uns leid, dass Sie schlechte Erfahrungen mit unserem Produkt gemacht haben. Tatsächlich wurde die Kette von uns unter normalen Bedingungen angelegt und der Wagen im ersten Schritt der Montage weder bewegt noch verändert. Der Freiraum im Radkasten kann jedoch von Auto zu Auto sehr unterschiedlich ausfallen. Wir geben Ihnen daher auch Recht, dass die Montage bei Autos mit größerem Freiraum deutlich einfacher durchzuführen ist. Gerne möchten wir Ihnen noch einen Tipp geben, der Ihnen die Montage vielleicht erleichtert: - Schauen Sie sich an, wie Sie die Kette spannen, bevor Sie sie um den Reifen legen. (Sekunde 8 im Video) Es ist wichtig, die Kette in einem Zug zu spannen, was anfangs schwierig sein kann, aber mit etwas Übung leichter wird. Auch das nächste Ziehen (in Sekunde 18) sollte in einem Zug erfolgen. - Beim Bewegen des Fahrzeugs muss es sich nur um eine minimale Bewegung handeln, damit der Teil des Reifens, der vorher den Boden berührte, nun frei ist. Ein paar Meter sollten daher ausreichen. Nach ein paar Anwendungen werden Sie ein gutes Gefühl dafür bekommen. We are really sorry for your frustration about this product and would like to give you a tip that might help, as the technic for mounting this chain can be a bit tricky. Take a look on how to stretch the chain before you put it around the tire. (second 8 in the video) It is important to do it in one smooth stretch, which can be difficult at first but gets easier with practice. Also the next pulling (in second 18) should be one smooth stretch. When moving the car you do not necessarily need an assistant. It has to be just a minimal moving so that the part of the tire which was touching the floor before, is now free. A few meters should therefore be enough. You'll get a good feel for it after a few uses. We hope that we were able to help you with these tips and wish you a safe ride.

why would you use snow chain if you have that kind of tyres lol? Like, are you serious ?!

@@johnnyhun1 I feel the chains work better on snowy surface, and the studs are too small for that. @huns probably the chains would just wear more quickly with studs. Everyone I've seen using the chains have used them only for short distances very temporarily so in that application it doesn't seem like it'd be an issue.

In principle, the snow chain pewag brenta 9 can also be put on winter tires with studs. However, mounting/demounting may be slightly more difficult due to the studs.

LKWs benötigen aufgrund ihres Gewichts und der damit verbundenen hohen Belastung besonders starke Ketten. Für Fahrzeuge mit einem zulässigen Gesamtgewicht von mehr als 3,5 Tonnen, sind im Zuge der Schneekettenpflicht auch nur Ketten erlaubt, die aus Metall bzw. Stahl bestehen und entsprechend belastbar sein. Daher sind Ketten mit automatischer Nachspannung, wie sie im Video zu sehen ist, für LKWs ungeeignet.
